Crochet/Knitting Ministry
Annual Report 2015
This has been a busy year for our group. Starting in September we have met almost monthly and have accomplished quite a bit. Since November we have given out 24 prayer shawls to members of our congregation and still have a few on hand.
At two of our worship services, Pastor dedicated the shawls, etc. before they were given to their recipients.
We are currently making lap blankets for the Rocky Hill Veterans and prayer shawls for people in Hospice care.
Our mission is “To help anyone struggling through a time of transition, crisis, or need by providing them with crocheted or knitted garment which are intended to be a physical reminder to the persons receiving them, that they are being covered in prayer and wrapped in God’s love.” If you know of someone who might appreciate a prayer shawl or lap blanket, please let any of the people listed below know. Pastor could also be a contact person if needed.
People included in this ministry are Carolyn Chesto, Gerri Deluca, Tami Duda, Eileen Finer, Rachel Foster, Barbara Howard, Linda Howard, Lynne Kearney, Karen Ligi, Bev Sabia, and Sandy Talbot.
We will not meet during the summer, but will resume our gatherings in September. Keep an eye for our starting date and please feel free to join us. We even go out for dinner before our meetings. This is all good fellowship. We hope you will join us.
