Our Savior Lutheran
Church is a new congregation. In 2004 we celebrated our tenth
anniversary. Our congregation is the result of a consolidation of the former
Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Thomaston and the former Trinity Lutheran Church in
Watertown. Through discussion and prayer those two congregations decided to
consolidate in 1994, chose a new name, a new place to worship, and a new
pastor. It was a tumultuous and exciting time.
In the succeeding years the congregation sold two buildings, purchased
and completely renovated another building that we are now using for worship and
mission, and initiated various ministries.
Through the years there has always been a lot going on around this place
and among this people. From new ways
of approaching Christian Education, to exciting new ways to learn and grow in
stewardship, this congregation has moved forward in faith.
From weekly Eucharist to reaching out to the needy families in our area
this congregation has moved forward in faith.
